She sat on his futon where the afternoon sun warmed a patch of plaid fabric.

The foam’s memory rendered it a popular spot.

Where’d you get the posters?

The microwave bleeped – he returned with cheddar-melted tacos.

Picked them up at the university bookstore – cool eh?

The Doors – Maggie McGill is playing on her tablet.

She took another sip of her postmodern float.

Yeah, they’re spatial fugues … repairing blown spaces from war and stuff.

Oh … they’re umm kind of future-scary – who drew them?

This is the CRUNK – I want my crib to be like that!

I see…

General’s wagging tail whacked the taco bowl to the floor

General! Sit you freak.   –   I guess he likes you

He’s friendly, where’d you get the name?

Tune from Dispatch – “The General”

Hey, get this, my uncle’s pal knows this dude who sold one of the smashed up guitars from some show called “The Smothers Brothers”, umm when “The Who” did a gig and blew the set up, can’t remember when, maybe after they shot Kennedy …

Anyway he used to work backstage, got some stupid money for it

Who’s the “Who”?

Yeah, I read something about JFK fooling around on Jackie

Pack ratting destroyed instruments and selling them 100 years later?

Peter Paul & Mary – Blowin in the wind

Guess some guys end up spending piles of cash on broken memories

Indeed it is a risky dissolution having “philosophy” bill-boarded and back-lit on any-where USA; lavishly exposing its cachet to the dangerous collectivist redaction of analog-minded dis-occupied lumpenry prone to un-scientific knowledge.

You don’t expect your prostitute to return change do you? Will the torn metal screen keep out the flies?

Walk on-by professor, the smiling child’s naïve realism will ask you if memory lasts forever. Get on to it.

On The Orgins of Béton Brut

The photograph that proved the origins of Béton Brut: John Wayne discusses the practical nature of barn boards with Le Corbusier. Check out Corb’s improved, manly posture when hanging out with the “Duke” – “where real men are not afraid to credit wives and colleagues for individual accomplishments.”

Originally posted in   http://lebbeuswoods.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/diane-lewis-einstein-and-le-corbusier/ then assigned to await “moderation”.  Reminds me of a blow-out with the late Raimund Abraham, that took forever to explain, I wasn’t trying to f*** him around, that I sincerely cared for the seemingly common – it’s there that I learned from him and my father, a profound sense of authenticity.

Fellow architects on mentally expired warranties and tenures, holding a warm towel in your left hand and petroleum jelly on your right,  trapped in “rubricating” worship and servitude of guaranteed capital, especially other-discovered knowledge, take a risk, make it a personal one.

Salut:  Bošković, De Pretto, Poincaré, Lorentz …
